The Development of the ADSI: Construct Validity for the Communities That Care Youth Survey

Ziel: Der Beitrag beschreibt eine Faktorenanalyse an in New York State erhobenen Daten als Beleg der Konstruktvalidität des Social Development Model (SDM). Methoden: Die Gelegenheitsstichprobe umfasste 26.781 ausgefüllte Communities That Care Youth Surveys (CTCYS). Mittels Hauptkomponenten-Faktorenanalyse wurde bestimmt, wie viele Faktoren vorliegen und welche Items auf sie laden. Ergebnisse: Es wurden 32 Faktoren gefunden – verglichen mit den im Modell vorhergesagten 34 Faktoren. Diskussion: Die Faktoren und die jeweils ladenden Items entsprachen dem theoretischen Rahmen des Modells hinreichend gut. Die Ergebnisse bestätigen die Konstruktvalidität des SDM und des CTCYS als dessen Operationalisierung.
